The Program
The Three Trees Referral Program (the “Program”) is sponsored by Kawartha Credit Union (KCU), 14 Hunter Street East, P.O. Box 116, Peterborough, Ontario K9J 6Y5. The Program’s Referrer and Referee Offers (the “Offer”) is available from October 1, 2024 until December 31, 2024 (the “Offer Period”)
For the purposes of the Offer, the following definitions apply:
- “Friends or family” refers to known friends or family members with whom the Referrer has a close personal or family relationship which includes direct, voluntary, two-way communications.
- “Referrer” refers to an existing KCU Member who refers a friend or family member under the Offer.
- “Referee” refers to a person who is not currently a Member of KCU and who has been referred by the Referrer under the Offer.
When the Referee registers for the Program by completing the Referral Program Registration Form, the Referee represents and warrants that they have a close personal or family relationship (as defined above) with the Referrer. The Referee must have the Referrer’s consent to share their name with KCU in connection with the Offer.
Eligibility
The Offer is open to all Kawartha Credit Union members in good standing, who are at least 18 years of age and who reside in Ontario. Referees to Kawartha Credit Union, who participate in the program by registering to the Program and by opening a membership must reside in Ontario and be at least 18 years of age on the date their membership is opened.
How to Participate
To participate in the Program, a member must refer friends or family to Kawartha Credit Union. Members may not refer themselves. The Referee must then register for the Referral Program on behalf of themselves and the Referrer, by submitting the Referral Program Registration Form, and including the Referrer’s Name. The Referee must have the Referrer’s consent to share their name with KCU in connection with the Offer.
The Offer
The Offer includes a Referrer incentive of $25 bonus for each valid referral up to a maximum of 20 valid referrals. The Offer also includes a Referee incentive, where the new referred member will receive $25 one-time provided they are connected to a valid referral. The Offer also includes KCU making a donation to the Tree Canada National Greening Program equal to the value of Tree Canada planting three trees as per the National Greening Program. How to qualify for the Offer with a valid referral
Once the Referee has registered for the Program via the Referral Program Registration Form, the offer will be initiated after a successful valid referral has been met. A valid referral must meet the following criteria:
- The new referred member/Referee is age 18 years or older and meets the Kawartha Credit Union Membership requirements
- The Referee member opens an account and funds the membership share of $25
Once the referral becomes valid, the bonuses will be paid out within 45 days of the beginning of the next new quarter and deposited directly to their KCU accounts. New quarters start on the following dates January 1, April 1, July 1, October 1.
Donations to Trees Canada will be made quarterly and based off of the previous quarters valid referrals using the following formula. Number of trees = valid referrals X 3.
Valid referral notification to the Refferrer and Referee
Before being awarded the Offer, the Referrer and Referee may be required to sign a Declaration and Release Form, stating that he/she has read, understood and complied with these Terms and Conditions, grants all consents required as contemplated in these Terms and Conditions, authorizes the KCU to broadcast, publish and disseminate his/her name, address, photograph, likeness and voice, in connection with any promotion or publicity, and/or for general news and information purposes at no compensation to the selected entrant. The Referrer/Referee agrees to accept the Offer as offered, and releases the KCU from any and all liability of any kind arising out of the Referrer/Referee’s participation in this Program and receipt and use of the Offer. If the participant does not accept the Offer as awarded or will not provide consent, the Offer will be forfeited. As part of the Declaration and Release Form, each selected entrant may be required to correctly answer unaided, a time-limited, skill-testing mathematical question. The signing of the Declaration and Release Form and completion of the skill-testing mathematical question will be completed during a pre-arranged, mutually convenient time.
Participants must be members in good standing at time of the Offer being distributed.
General Conditions
Kawartha Credit Union reserves the right at its absolute discretion to vary, delete or add to any of these Terms and Conditions from time to time without prior notice. In the event of conflict, these Terms and Conditions will prevail over any of the contents of any brochure, promotional materials or statements, or any other communication regarding this Offer, whether written or oral from Kawartha Credit Union, except where otherwise stated.
Kawartha Credit Union reserves the right at its sole discretion to, without advance notice, terminate or suspend the Program and/or Offer, in whole or in part, or modify it in any way.
Kawartha Credit Union reserves the right, at its sole discretion, to suspend, disqualify, limit or revoke this Offer for any person it finds or believes to be manipulating or otherwise abusing the process, fairness, or integrity of the Offer or otherwise becomes ineligible. Rewards earned through fraudulent activities or activities in violation of these Terms and Conditions will be null and void and repayment may be requested by Kawartha Credit Union.
Privacy Policy
By Registering for the Program, participants consent to the use of such information to administer, implement and fulfill this Program. If you specifically permit Kawartha Credit Union or others to send you information or make available special offers, you also consent to the use of such information in connection with same.
