We are upgrading our computer banking system in November to help us better meet your needs and to allow us to innovate and grow

We are excited to announce that Kawartha will be implementing a new computer banking system. Like any business, Kawartha must make changes to improve the quality of products and services we provide to our members. The advanced technology this new system offers will enable us to provide you with:

  • better and faster service
  • improved speed to market with new products and services
  • enhanced cyber security
  • new online banking and mobile functionality (such as alerts) and access for our Commercial members

In October, we will mail you a guide book which will provide more information about the changes and assist you in planning ahead. We will be communicating with you right up until the banking system conversion date and after to keep you informed: watch for inserts in monthly paper statements, updates on our website and mobile services, posts on Facebook and Twitter, and information in our branches. In the meantime, please provide your branch or our Contact Centre with your email address so that we can email you timely information and updates before and after the conversion takes place.

During the days that conversion is expected to occur (the evening of Monday November 19 to Wednesday November 21), online, mobile, telephone, and branch banking will not be available. You will have access to your account(s) throughout this period for deposit and withdrawals at our ATMs and through Point of Sale (POS) up to your established limits. We will remind you of service disruptions well in advance to ensure that you can prepare accordingly.

Please rest assured that we do not take lightly any inconvenience these changes may cause our members and we will be working diligently over the coming months to minimize them. Our employees are undergoing extensive training and we have also engaged the services of a company who has successfully converted over 100 financial institutions to a new banking system. We are confident that we are well-resourced and prepared to navigate this process.

Over the coming weeks, you may receive a phone call or letter to advise you of product alterations we may need to make in advance of conversion. We ask for your patience as we work toward these improvements. Please do not hesitate to reach out to your local branch or our Contact Centre (1-855-670-0510) with any questions or concerns you may have.
